Sound Doesn't Work!

I have a problem with sound. When I'm running a disc and it's doing alot of work like installing or ripping my sound seems to break. Every sound goes slow and is jumpy. The sound works fine any other time. It's just when I'm ripping or installing. Any help would be great.

Don't rip and install software at the same time. Especially installing because the installation can get corrupted. You should disable just about everything you can when you install to minimize conflicts, especially anti-virus, etc. You will have problems if you don't.

I wasn't ripping and installing at the same time. The music that was playing during the installation was automaticlly started. It was just the normal music you get while installing a game.
