Sound doesn't work

Hello,
About a week ago, my sound suddenly stopped working. The speakers won't work, the headphone jack won't work,..
The only thing that does work is connecting my laptop to a monitor via HDMI and then using the monitors speakers.
How do I fix this?
I want to be able to hear sound on my laptop again.

You need to set your speakers as the default output. Simply right click on the volume icon and go to "playback devices". Find the speakers you are using (usually "speaker") and click set as default

If for some reason the above doesn't help, you need to download the audio drivers for Windows 10 from your manufacturer's support page and reinstall the audio drivers.
