I have an Asus mb which uses Sonic Studio III to adjust sound from the system. I've been plagued by the sound working with Edge after the install being fine and then later not being effected at all causing me to reinstall the drivers and sonic again. This time however, I figured out it is Microsoft Edge and other browsers that is the issue.
If I install Sonic studio 3 and immediately go to youtube to play a song, all of the sonic settings work. But as soon as I leave youtube or open another tab they stop working when I go back to youtube.
To me, it seems the sonic studio creates a link to Edge, "or any other browser," when it's installed but then as soon as you close the browser or open a new tab, the link is lost. In figuring this out I played the same video, "song," in windows media player and sonic studio affects where working fine, but not in any browser. I tried posting on Asus's web site but so far, no response. Any ideas here?? TIA
