Hello,
i have installed correct driver realtek ac97. it was well working but now there is no sound from analog, once i connected the usb speaker. in control panel under sounds no playback devices is shown and i can't change the volume bar too. but again if i attach the usb speaker..they all apper and goes fine. i checked for the bios setting and set AC97 option to Auto. nothing improved. how can i get sound from my analog headphones. device manager do not complain anything.

USB speakers have their own drivers, so plugging USB speaker will show USB speakers regardless to the soundcard. I guess there is something wrong with the soundcard drivers, or maybe it's just broken :( ? You should try delete drivers and look up manually for the newest online. (not via the windows 7 automatic driver update)

You must select "Default Playback Device" from your sound settings. If you have more than one audio device connected to your pc you must select which device will be used by default. Otherwise the pc will choose by itself, likely the device last installed.
