Over the past few months, I have been having a problem where the volume would suddenly get much louder after I paused whatever I was listening to or watching. I checked around online and as it turns out I'm not the only one with this problem. many people have been having this problem. I could be watching Netflix and pause it for a bit and come back and press play and then the sound would be much louder whenever this happens I checked the volume control on Windows 10 and it is still at the same number I left it at the only fix I found was to change the volume up and back down and it would go back to normal.
I have found a fix and would like to share it. I read a few articles and they said I should uninstall my Realtek audio drivers and reinstall them. I tried that but it didn't work.
My solution to this problem is to open Device Manager and find your audio driver and right click it and select "Update Drivers" next click "Browse my computer for driver software" then click "let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer". After you should see a list of audio drivers installed on your computer. Find the one that says "High Definition Audio Device" and click it and click "Next". It will say something like you need to restart your computer before the device will work.

A link to download the driver can be found below :
