Hello,

I am having a problem with sound being delayed for about 1-2 seconds in the system.

Tried different drivers for the built-in Radeon graphics with no success. The audio is always out of sync and delayed in the whole system.

I'm frustrated since I don't know what exactly causes this. is it audio driver or VGA driver or motherboard!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
CPU: RYZEN 7 7800X3D
Motherboard: ROG Strix B650E-I Gaming Wifi
BIOS Version: 2413
RAM: G-Skill DDR5 32GB 6000-36 Flare X5
Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 11 Pro
Chipset Drivers: Latest

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You forgot to mention the make and model of your GPU.

Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 11 Pro
Use DDU to remove both your audio and GPU drivers(all of them) and then manually reinstall with the latest drivers sourced from Asus's support site(for audio) and then your GPU driver, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

Thanks. I m using the built in Radeon graphics until I receive my RTX 4070 Super.
I did used this combo (Strix B650E-I + 7800X3d) before without seeing this issue. But I had then Nvidia card.

I have suspesion that it can be a faulty MB or CPU. But I can't know for sure so I could send it back in the two weeks allownace period while I still can.

I removed the VGA driver many times also using DDU. But I will give it another try as you suggested.

I have the RAM in EXPOII mode in bios. Could this also be the cause?

So for good mesures, I disconnected from WIFI then switched to Safe mode and ran DDU as adminstrator for each step:

1- Uninstalled Realtek USB audio driver twice using DDU and restart
2- Uinstallined Radeon VGA driver twice and restart
3- Uninstalled AMD high definition audio from Device manager
4- installed as administrator Realtek audio driver v6.3.9600.2328 provided by Asus
5- installed as administrator VGA AMD AM5 V31.0.24002.92_202401308B provided by Asus

Loaded bios defaults and only changed to EXPO1 and changed Qfan.

Switched out of Safe mode and started playing some videos on Youtube. Still noticing a delay or desync when playing videos. For example:
- When I pause the video, the sounds only stops after a second or more.
- If I press back in Chrome, the sound remains playing formore than a second or so even after the page is reloaded.

FYI, this PC is connected to LG OLED C1 via HDMI @ 120 hrz.

I tried the other HDMI cable of my XBOX series X and didn't see a difference.

This is the same setup I was using with the same similar combo before but I wasn't using the built in VGA of the 7800X3D.

Is it now safe to say that the issue has to do with either motherboard or Ryzen 7800X3D?

Shall I RMA them and try with another replacement?
