So I updated to the anniversary edition this morning and everything seemed great as I was playing some games (sound through headset on Asus Xonar card) and nothing was out of ordinary. When I stopped I went to watch some Youtube videos and noticed I had 0 sound. I opened playback devices and my Realtek stuff was there....did the config test and nothing. Updated drivers and still nothing.

I did some research and there were people saying to uninstall completely and then when it restarts they will be reinstalled and work fine....well not for me. It worked perfectly when I uninstalled them. sound for days, but as soon as I restarted and realtek drivers were auto installed nothing.

I went to realtek site and got latest release when I realized the auto installed driver was not the most up to date one. did the full install and everything was amazing! I should mention, at this point I hadnt restarted my PC yet as I was doing some more research. When I got around to restarting the PC the sound stopped again.

So TLDR, Asus card works great, onboard card only works when drivers arent installed. have uninstalled and reinstalled...sound works when uninstalled.

Please help, this is very irritating.
