So its been quite a while since this has happened, but today GTA V locked up on me with the audio loop and froze my whole PC. This was an issue a while back but seemed to go away.

Ill ad that I have replaced just about every component in my computer. I had these issues on my previous build also, but it seemed to have gone away. Now im running into them on my current build randomly after months of no issues. Here are the specs:

I7 6700k 4.0ghz
2X SLI GTX 1080 FE OC 1850mhz
32GB of Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4 2133 Ram (downclocked from 2666)
Asus Z170 Sabertooth Mark 1 Motherboard
AX 860 Power Supply
Corsair H100i Liquid Cooler
2 PNY Gaming 480gb SSDs
1 Samsung Pro 240gb SSD
1 Samsung Pro 512 GB SSD

I have updated all drivers, the bios, I even rolled back to the previous drivers from Nvidia.
I feel like this has got to be driver related. On my last build I did do a whole fresh install 2 times, before I seemed to clear up any problems. I believe that it is the realtek audio output messing with nvidias HD audio. I disabled the Nvidia HDMI audio and I am just running the Realtek with PC speakers. Does anyone have any input on this?
My previous PC, I am calling my "previous" because Legitimately everything is different.

Pc wont do this doing normal tasks or browsing the web. In game, it will hard lock up and there will be an audio buzz and then ill need to hard restart. Any advice would be helpful, I may have figured it out by disabling nvidias audio, but I really am just curious who else has had these issues? Thanks guys

I'll add that after disabling nvidias HD audio, I ran games for almost 2 hours no problems. Could this really be the culprit for such a hard lock up? No bsod or event viewer info too?
