Hi,
So I just received an ASUS VG249Q and I would like to know how to get sound on earphones/headphones.
I own a laptop with only an HDMI port.
My screen is linked via an HDMI cable.
When no earphones/headphones are plugged the sound gets out from the screen speakers.
When I plug my earphones/headphones to my laptop the sound gets out from my laptop speakers.
I previously had an ASUS VG248QE linked via HDMI to DisplayPort and I had the same issue but I found a fix with deactivating the screen audio, plugging my headphones to the laptop, making it default sound, rebooting, and voilà.
Thing is this I followed the same steps with my new screen but this doesn't work.
If i plug my headphones to my screen I might have the sound but I won't be able to use the microphone on my headphones, this will use my laptop microphone won't it?
