Sound not playing!!!!!

I have my sound device set as my tv. I test if the sound works by dragging the sound bar around. I get the ding as I hoped. But the music I have playing through youtube is not working. I checked the volume mixer and see that the aplications list is empty. Even though I have google chrome open for youtube. How can I get sound playing again?

Your TV will never act as a speaker system. It will only play sound if something on the TV requires it. However, if you have a cable from your desktop, plug it into your TV and select the port, it will. I do not recommend using a TV as a speaker system, because you will have to leave it on while you use it. Also, you cannot configure drivers on your TV, so that could also be the issue.

Configure the audio device you're using for the TV to 2 channel stereo, might still be left on 5.1 as HDMI usually defaults to.

Im using my TV as my monitor. It worked fine as my monitor before I changed my GPU today.

What are your system specs, the gpu you had before and how you uninstalled drivers prior to installing your new gpu and where did you get the new drivers from?
