So as the title says my sound doesn't work after i play a game. its started right after i got a ASUS GTX 980, so like, if a load a youtube video, and then start a game, like, bf4, star citizen, crysis3, etc , the sound wont work on firefox any more it even quits working on aimp3 (my music player) and if i restart the game the sound wont work either on the game. so the only way i can fix it, is to set default sound to a usb port, and then set default back to my head phones every time i play a game. is really ticking me off. i tried going in to windows sound setting and disabling all the GPUs sound ports, like the HDMI, and the display ports, but that didn't help at all. so if anyone knows anything, i would be happy to fix it, with out reinstalling windows... i don't think that will fix it this time anyway.

CPU - AMD 8350 8core
MOBO - ASUS CROSSHAIR V FORMULA-Z PCIE 2.0

Hard Drives - 250GB SSD and a 2TB 7200rpm HDD
my realtek audio drivers and my gpu drivers are up to date, but, idk, maybe i should update the bios for the mobo? because im going from a pcie 2.0 to a 3.0 but idk if that would even have anything to do with it
