Sound not working ingame.

I recently got an ATI Radeon HD 4670 installed and the sound didn't work. im not too great with computers but in another thread (http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/256101-33-problem-solved-craphics-card-sound) it said to go into your bios and switch onboard audio from auto to enabled to fix it because the graphics card changed something, anyway it worked until i got ingame, it just stopped working there, i could hear when someone talked to me in steam ingame but i couldnt hear the actually game (same applies with all my games). I'm getting really annoyed with this, could someone please help?
