Sound not working

Hello my sound has not been working since i reinstalled Windows 7. I have installed all drivers but my sound still dosnt work. My motherboard is H61M-P20 (G3). The sound jacks dont seem to work even when other devices are connected.

Hello...Typically... The Device Manger-Play back is your "Master" setting too? B /.... Did ya check if you have Muted a APP ... Bottom right Task bar-sound volume? did that help?

No its not muted. When i hover over the Sound icon it says No speakers or headphones are connected. But i have my speakers connected. When i tested the speakers on a diffrent computer they work fine.

Hello... Do you have and red or yellow marks in your Device manger? Is there a Sound device (hardware) detected and Listed there?

I checked my Device Manager and there is no red or yellow marks on it. In the sound tab there is NVIDIA High Definition Audio and NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device. No red or yellow mark there either.

Hello... There are different sound hardware on the MB if you are trying to connect to there... is the MB sound Hardware chip enabled in your BIO's?
1) NVIDIA High Definition Audio and NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device. is from your VIDEO card outputs
2) your MB has hardware Chip made by Realtek and driver on https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/support/H61M-P20-G3.html#down-driver&Win7 64

Thanks for the download link. I installed the driver. I couldnt find where in my BIO's the chip can be enabled.

Hello... Does the REALTEK hardware now show up in your "device manager"? "Sound video game controllers" there?

No the REALTEK hardware is not shown in "Sound video game controllers" tab in device manager. But it is installed as its shown in "uninstall programs" in control panel.

Hello... It should be listed there now... for OS use... SO some reason the OS is not detecting the MB hardware chip for use...
Check the MB BIO's and manual/pdf for the location (screen) for enabling that Realtek hardware chip, and use/communication to the OS save&exit.

I just read the manual for my MB and check all of my BIOS options and the Realtek hardware chip or any audio chip was not there.

Hello... Please contact you MB maker and Tech support then... over the phone or Email... check the their Website for further information... the problem appears to be theirs at this point. B /
