Hello,
I'm often able to find a quick and easy answers on Tom's Hardware, but I'm in quite the pickle this time.
I upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday after completing a Ryzen build. I've got about half my drivers already installed (Yes, I installed Realtek High Definition Audio drivers) but I'm not getting sound to my headphones. I'm using a pair of Sennheiser HD 598's that don't require drivers. I tested them out on my iPhone 7 and iPhone 6, they work fine.
From the 'Sound' tab I pull up all my Playback Devices and right-click on my VN289 monitor and click 'Test' and I get visual confirmation of sound going through, and I hear it as well.
When I click on 'Test' for my headphones (AT2020 USB+) I can see the green bar showing the sound is playing, but I do not hear anything at all coming from my headphones.
I've already confirmed my HD Audio connector is plugged in to the correct header on my motherboard by checking the manual. (10-1 pin AAFP connector) I'm using a Crosshair VI Hero by the way.
Using the same HD Audio connector, that was previously plugged in to my Crosshair-V Formula-Z motherboard yesterday before switching to the new Ryzen build, my headphones were working just fine.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.
