So after i was at a LAN this weekend i came home and plugged my computer back in, and when turned on something that makes sound, there is a popping sound. This is getting really annoying and i have tried everything. I have ran DPC latency checker and it shows alot of red bars. It stops when i run games like Dota 2. I have tried disabling drivers in devicemanager, but it didnt do anything. At this point i dont know what to do. What could possible have caused this? It was perfectly fine at LAN.

Specs:
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 7
Intel i7 4770k
AMD 260x (x2)
8GB 2100 mhz ripjaws

I've struggled with this issue for quit some time and I think I finally solved it.

I don't know exactly what solved the problem but here's what I did:

I disabled the following devices in device manager:
- Realtek High Definition Audio (I am using an external sound card)
- TAP-Win32 Provider V9 (Tunngle) (I think this made a huge difference)
- Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) 4.0 + HS-adapter
- DVD drive (since I never use it)
- Webcam

Also you should check out this guide:

Even if you don't own a NI soundcard, I still think it's a pretty good article for trouble shooting audio problems.

Good luck!
