Sound Problem

I have GREAT z2300 Logitech 400W speakers. I know that the speakers are not the problem. Well the sound today became choppy, like every 5-10 seconds the sound would dissapear for like 0.5 seconds. Why? WHY is this happening.

Video from internet, music, general windows sounds, DVD or blu-ray or even games..

Please be a bit more specific....

using VLC media player? should i try another player?

I don’t have any familiarity with speakers. If you ask about monitors then I will give answer that, Rackmount.
