Sound Stuttering When Downloading

Hey,

Whenever I'm playing music in iTunes or playing a game while downloading something the sound seems to stutter. Sometimes you will hear little ticks or it will make a weird noise for a few seconds. Does anyone have any solutions to this?

Are your sound and network both onboard? Have you checked for updated audio and network drivers?

yes they are both onboard, I will check for updated drivers.

I should think it may be caused by HDD I/O issues - It can't read the song and write the data at the exact same moment.

That's a good point scott. What hard drive(s) do you have in your computer cr0?

I have a western digital caviar black. BTW, I different sound drivers and they didn't seem to work.
