Hi All! I write music on my Win 7 PC using a notation prgram, Quick Score Elite Level 2 by Sionsoft. All of a sudden, when trying to bounce down files as sound, I get "Cant Allocate Audio Buffer" and the file is empty. Ive googled till Ive gurgled but I cant find any mention of this message anywhere.
Anyone got any ideas what it is and WHY it is?
The other part, which MIGHT be related closely, is if I chose Windows MCI to output sound through, I do get a sound file but it is VERY , VERY distorted, it sounds like its on a twisted audio tape (remember those things!) I have read that MCI isnt supposed to exist in Win7, so what is actually producing the soundfile I have no real idea but it is doing an awful job of it.
Any ideas on all of this will be thankfully tried!
Yours respectfully
Chris.
