Hi everyone, new to these forums but I'm just looking for any kind of help to finally get this problem fixed...
What happens is that I'll be using my computer for basically anything (though the problem happens a lot more with games, movies, internet browsers, etc.) and my sound will randomly go out and any video I play is stuttering and skipping with no audio. Nothing I did would make it come back on or fix my video playback until I restarted my computer. At first I thought it was just the sound drivers that came with my video card's drivers conflicting with my Realtek HD audio device but deleting and reinstalling drivers never permanently took care of the problem. Nothing else I've tried really seemed to work so I decided to try and see if the sound/video problem would occur if I used my TV's speakers and also the other HD audio device that came with my video card. The problem hasn't occurred this way, but I did find out a very interesting detail. When the sound goes out, and I have my TV set-up as my monitor with both my speakers and the TV's audio connected, I can change the default device to the TV and have my sound work and videos playing right. But, as soon as I change it back to the realtek device the problem returns.
Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
