Question Soundbar Connectivity Issue

I have a 5.1 soundbar setup that I'm trying to connect to my TV and Playstation 5. The only outputs on the soundbar are eARC HDMI, optical, and 3.5mm. My TV doesn't have any of those ports (has HDMI, but not eARC). I purchased an HDMI splitter in hopes that the PS5 input could be split to the TV for video and the other HDMI cable would connect to the soundbar for sound. Audio and video work to the TV through the splitter, but the soundbar is not outputting sound. I'm assuming this is due to it being an eARC port on the soundbar? Any ideas on a converter I can use that would support 5.1?

TV model: Samsung UN60EH6003F
Soundbar model: Vizio V51-H6

Thanks

About to give up on this and give the soundbar back... I've been wracking my brain and researching, but there doesn't seem to be anything that will work in general or maintain 5.1 capabilities (drops to 2.1 when any analog converters are in play).
