I would like advice on soundbar product(s) to consider for transmitting via WiFi music from my stereo system as well as primary sound for my television. My existing equipment is:
Receiver is Onkyo TX-8140, using both Speaker A and B terminals (4 speakers total)
Television is Samsung UN-55-J6200AF (did not hook up Vizio soundbar when the TV was moved).

I am not interested in replacing either my receiver or television at this time and don’t see a need to do so for some time.

What I would like is a soundbar that is simple to install and use. I am not interested in adding speakers for 5.1 surround sound; just want a soundbar. (The TV room is not large.) I am not an audiophile; just an average listener who appreciates good sound when it comes to music and television viewing. Oh, voice control is not important to me.

I realize that I also need a WiFi transmitter to stream music from my receiver. Question: if I need to boost the WiFi signal between the transmitter and playbar, can a booster compatible with my router work or does the booster need to be compatible with the transmitter and playbar.

I have looked at the Sonos Playbar with Port, with Boost as the WiFi booster. This, of course, is a spendy solution and I would so appreciate recommendations and input, please! Thank you!

This is probably not the same one as I've got, mine is a few years old now, but I've got something like this.

I think I paid 50 on eBay for a used unit a couple of years ago with no remote. Programmed a universal to it though. But it works well and can bump decently. In my living room, I tried turning it up to max once and it seemed clear. Was getting loud enough I was afraid of blowing a speaker. Plus my hearing lol. But the sub can hit a little. My wife likes turning on spotify.

Plus my system can simulate surround sound. So if you watch the movie cars for example, you actually heard them come...
Correct. The receiver and speakers and the television are in different rooms. I would like a new soundbar that can serve as the primary speaker for the TV and which can receive a WiFi signal from the receiver's transmitter (to be purchased) for music listening. That is why I have been looking at the Sonus Playbar and Port but would like recommendations/suggestions if this is the right way to go or is there a less expensive solution. Thank you.

Plus my system can simulate surround sound. So if you watch the movie cars for example, you actually heard them come around the track and pass you. Pretty good for a sound bar imo.
