Soundblaster switching to speaker/headphones on its on!

I have the Creative Sound Blaster Zx Sound card and ever since i've gotten it i've been having an issue with headphones. It seems at completely random times it will switch the little button at the top that says "speaker/headphones" back to speaker.
So far its only happened when i play games, the audio will completely cut out, and i have to alt-tab and switch it back to headphones to get it to work again.

Drivers are updated on everything. Could the card be defective? Any ideas/suggestions?

same problem. guess refund is the best way...never buy SB product again..... and SB even means idiots in my language......dang!

I've never had this issue with my Soundblaster Zx. Maybe you have mixed up drivers somewhere.

sold my 660ti SLI, got new 1070, clean unsteall sound and video driver, now it never happens like it used to be.
