Soundblaster Z and USB Mic issues.

Hi

I've currently got a Soundblaster Z and a Rode Podcaster running on my system, and as I do a bit of online DJ'ing, I need both to work at the same time.

But they aren't. Or won't. The Microphone is USB, and plugged into a rear USB 2.0 socket, and connected via the headphone socket (on mic) to the mic/line in jack on the soundcard.

Speakers are in the (as expected) soundcard slot.

When "What you hear" is selected, only sound (music) plays, when microphone (soundblaster z & rode podcaster - not sure why two appear in the recording panel) only speaking works.

What am I doing wrong? Seems like a common input issue, but I just can't figure it out.

Thanks!

Solution
Might want to read through this first.

What am I doing wrong?
Using it as it wasn't intended to. Please connect the USB Podcaster mic to your USB port without connecting it to your sound card via the 3.5mm output as per outlined in your manual. Within Sound Manager, make sure your Mic is selected as the default recording device for your system.

That being said, can you please pass on your full systems specs inclusive of OS and audio equipment?
