Soundblaster Z Slowness

My new Soundblaster Z card's software is slow in Win10 Pro 64bit, a prime example being the volume. I turn down the volume and Win10 locks up for about 3 seconds. 5820k 4ghz 6core/12thread 16gb ram 3ghz this should be totally impossible but it's def happening. Any fix?

1| Disable the automatic device driver update feature.
2| Make sure you BIOS as well as your remaining device drivers(namely chipset) are up to date.
3| uninstall your soundblaster drivers and reinstall them with an elevated command:
Right click installer>Run as Administrator
or run in compatibility mode:
Right click installer>Properties>Compatibility tab>Windows 7/8[from drop down menu]
4| Try performing a repair install.

It'd be a good idea if you included your full system's specs as the specs in your signature space can and will change over time making this thread and solution irrelevant.
