Hi

In process of building new gaming PC

Am getting an ASUS M5A78L ATX motherboard - this has inbuild soundcard

In my existing PC, I have an old Soundblaster Live PCI card.

Could the SB Live card do a job or am I best sticking to the onboard card?

Cheers

An old SB Live might give you driver issues, try the audio off the motherboard 1st and see how it compares to your old SB live. It's specs don't look too bad Realtek® ALC887 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC. You can always pop the SB live in later if you're unhappy with it.
