On my asus k52dr i have next pci devices related to sound (linux notation from lspci):
01:00.1 Audio device [0403]: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI Cedar HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 5400/6300 Series] [1002:aa68]
Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Device [1043:1bf2]
00:14.2 Audio device [0403]: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA) [1002:4383] (rev 40)
Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Device [1043:11b3]
First is integrated in my videocard (as i guess), while second - integrated in motherboard with soundcard (itself) from Realtek.
So, which from them for which of next functionality corresponds:
1) 3.5 front jack for headphones
2) 3.5 front jack for microphone
3) microphone "inside" i.e. talk-to-laptop (for skype etc)
4) integrated rear stereophones for laptop
