Sounds cuts in and out

creative sound blaster Z
edifier s760D speakers with 16g wire/optical hook up

Here's the issue, especially when my computer goes idle or logs me out. When i come back, and audio or video playback causes my sound to cut in and out, kinda like the volume goes down to 1 and then returns back to where it was. A restart typically fixes it, but it will come back. especially if i up the volume real high when listening to music. I dont even remember this happening in windows 8

Make sure your smart volume manager is disabled within Creative's software suite. If that isn't there then try uninstalling and reinstalling your audio drivers after downloading from their support site here. You can also take a look at repair install although a reinstallation of OS is advised. Is this installation of Windows 10 availed through the free upgrade path or a licence'd key?

Can you please pass on the rest of your components, i.e a full systems specs? Are you sure your BIOS and remaining drivers are up to date?
