Sounds like commercial in the background?

Every once in a while my computer will start playing some commercials. Nothing will pop up or start, i just get audio of it. My guess is a virus but how do i find out. I've ran norton but it only finds trackers. Any ideas?

does this happen when you have a browser open? sometimes when im browsing, i get that, and its just a hidden pop-up on the webpage im viewing. If it is not happening when browser, hit ctrl+alt+del and check to see if there are any web browsers still running. firefox.exe or iexplorer.exe (not explorer.exe.. lol)

It happens when my computer sits idle. Next time it does that i'll check for iexplorer.exe. Thanx for the help.
