[SOLVED] Sourcing a spare power cord for monitor...

I have an MSI monitor that came with a 5ft. power cable. Based on where my setup is, and how the outlets area arranged in the room (old house, don't ask), I would like to pick up a 10ft cable. Can I just buy any 10A 120V cable? The manual doesn't specify a particular gauge, so is there a standard?

No, there is no 'standard'. Longer the cable, lower gauge. More current, lower gauge.

Your monitor doesn't use anywhere near 1200W, so any cable will do, really.
