Soyo makes their Hao Teng

According to Digitimes, Soyo is PULLING OUT OF THE MOTHERBOARD BUSINESS to work in industrial supplies, and changing their name to Hao Teng Technologies.

Does that mean the end for the Soyo brand? No, I expect PC-Chips to market their "better" boards under this label. Think about it, PC-Chips on the bottom, ECS in the middle, Soyo on top, as their brand lineup. Kind of makes sense.

This after Digitimes reported the buyout of Soyo by PC-Chips, which Soyo flatly denied (around the same time that their management was completely switched around). Anyone suspect Soyo of hiding their intentions until they finish purging their inventory?

And if you don't think Soyo is purging inventory, explain why they're giving away their latest boards free!

Is Soyo a part of the Elite Computer Group (ECS & PC-Chips parent) or do you anticipate Elite Computer Group to buy the Soyo name? intellectual property? facilities?

A mind is a terrible thing

If PC-Chips owns Soyo and Soyo is changing their name to Hao Teng, chances are fairly good that PC-Chips is getting rights to the Soyo name.
