SP1 JUST for gaming?

Hello.
I already get my new PC and I don't know if install my old version of win7 (without SP1) or get a new one with it.
Which would be better?
I use this PC just to play games, nothing else.

Of course get the updates unless you like vulnerable gaming computers that are rendered useless because it got hacked. You don't even have to doing anything as they can hack your computer as it is hooked up to the internet. Anti-Virus is still a must, same for the firewall, and of course, updates.

You update your version of windows for free... Then you have SP1...

But remember, it's just for gaming. So I'm not gonna have problems with virus. Just worried about performance

I have no performance issues using a fully patched version of Win 7. This isn't 2001 any more. Updates don't normally cause problems like they used to.
