SP2 won't install

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maintain (More info?)

I have tried to install SP2 four times on my computer. I have turned off
my firewall and virus programs before the installs. Each time after half
of the files have installed, I receive a message "access denied". Does
anyone have an idea on why this happens and how I can fix it?
