Space Battleship yamato case build

I was thinking of cutting the design like the outline and not go much into detail. I would cut it out of wood and then mounting some of the parts like the motherboard for example behind the wood only leaving a cutout for the AIO. Currently I will be using these parts

Would this work? The theme would be silver and red.

That board is 12x9.6"

Even if you oriented it sideways, so it was 9.6" tall, the ship appears to be around 10x longer than it is tall, meaning you're looking at around... 7.5 feet of cut out.

Seems far, far to large to be practical.

So much detail too, It seems incredibly difficult, do you have a mock up of how the components would fit?
