Spacers for a Beretta SIlver Pigeon II

I could do with an extra half inch on the stock length and wonder if there
is an off the peg spacer I can get and fit between the wood and the recoil
pad. A search hasn't reveled any and I am not sure I want to go down the buy
one and shape it yourself route!

A friend of mine used an off cut of beech, which he cut down to size
with his "jig" saw, and finished of with his grinder & sand paper.
The way he did it was to use the butt plate as a stencil and cut his
beech to the required thickness and then to a rough shape, finishing off
on the grinder and then using the sand paper to do final adjustments.
There is a slight colour difference, but my guess is that if he had
taken a little time mixing and matching he could have blended the spacer
with the stock.
All in all, once you have the wood, which only cost the price of asking
for it, it will only take you a Sunday afternoon.

My friend attached the whole lot, using longer screws.

Another option is one of those leather boots that fits on the stock. About
£20. I have one for my SBS.
