[SOLVED] Spdif for pc

Hi all i have a 5.1 sony amp with i have currently connected to my pc through 3.5 rear jack i was thinking of getting a spdif card as im getting older some sounds seem a bit muffled i can still hear ok will spdif make it any clearer thanks mark.
If so wich is better internal or external usb.

Get an external dac via usb(plug it into the back of the pc). Perhaps look into one, I use a topping mx3, but since you don't need an amp maybe a schiit mobi. An external dac will make sounds cleaner and crisper, but it's different from person to person.
