I have a EVGA nVida 680i motherboard with a GeForce 230GT graphics card. I am trying to get audio to come through the HDMI port to the TV. I have plugged the internal jumper cable from the SPDIF pins to the graphics card, installed the Realtek drivers, and the latest audio drivers from EVGA, and the latest GeForce drivers. However, I can find no way to get the sound working. Anyone have any tips?

Hi there,
First go to "Control panel"
Then click "Hardware and sound"
Then also click "Sound"
On the window that has opened go to the "Playback" tab and look for your graphics card AUDIO and then click it once.
Then click "Set as default" at the bottom right.
Hope this helps!

The playback tab doesnt show my hdmi card. It shows loudspeakers and Realtek digital output (before I installed drivers, this was called spdif out), which is default. Could it be that my card does not support audio output over hdmi? But I'd that is the case, then why is there a place to connect the motherboard spdif to the card?

Pretty much all graphics card support audio over HDMI.
Another option is that some/most TV's have a AUDIO-IN port at the back where you plug a standard 3.5mm jack or SPDIF lead into the TV and it receives sound that way.
