Speaker Making Noise

I'm using a single 3W speaker with my PC which is connected to the CPU through a USB cable and an Aux Cable since a few months. Recently, i realized that this speaker has been making lots of noise. I mean, even when the Volume is Muted, it keeps making High pitch Noises right from the Start up? Sometimes it would stop automatically but at times it just won't. When i plug out the Aux Cable it goes Silent but if i put it back in, it may start doing that. What should i do to fix this?

Solution
Try plugging the Aux cable into the front of the box where you speaker output is to see if the noise is still there. There are many things that could cause noise on the aux cable but generally it is the speaker that is to blame or the cable. Sometimes the port is broken because it was pulled out with force and bent. As I say maybe see if it still does it if you plug the cable into the headphone jack in the front, if it still does it, it is probably your cable or speaker that is the issue and should try another speaker.
You can even get issues with badly shielded speaker cables. I had issues with my mouse interfering with a cheap speaker and the speaker made squeeky interference noises as the mouse moved, for real. (hahahaha).

It has to be the Speaker, i think or the cable perhaps, or both. I'm sure about this.
I'm using a cheap 3W speaker. One of the speakers had actually died the same week i had bought it. :/

I had a high pitched speaker sound from my logitech speakers that suddenly occurred after unplugging them and plugging them back in after moving my desktop pc. Moving my mouse wheel was even making a noise too. After reading this thread, I put the speakers in both front and back jacks but that did nothing. It went when I plugged the usb connector into a different usb port so it was the pc connection that was causing the noise. Thanks gaborbarla!
