GAMING IMMERSION LESS ABOUT MUSIC
Logitech Speaker System Z313/Z323/Z333 $40, $50, $60
-Sound quality is good enough for the price ranges, each step gives a little more power with an added feature.
-Z313/Z323 Lack of decent high and high mid response due to no actual tweeters leaves music filling deflated.
-Z333 is the better for bass but high Mids are still less dynamic "ie muddled"
-All break up at higher volumes, the Z333 tends to sound a little better though in all ranges of volume.
Cyber AcousticsCA-3810 $75
+Deep and heavy bass far more than anything under $100.
-Mids and High ranges are roughly the same as the Z323
-Distorts at high volumes
Logitech Speaker System Z533 $80
+Moderate upgrade over the Z333 line
+More power and lower bass response
+Better clarity and less distortion at higher volumes
- Volume knob thing.. be careful it breaks easily.
Logitech Speaker System Z537 $99
+/-Great for immersion with deep bass
+/- Tuned for Gaming and Movies not so much for music
-Mids and Highs are roughly the same as the Z333
-Doesn't remotely touch the overall sound quality of the R1280T
-Distorts at higher volumes like all the Z3XX and Z5XX line
INBETWEEN "Does a good job at both uses"
Creative GigaWorks T20 $70
+Good overall sound quality at this price range for something sold as a 2.1 setup
-Lacks deep Bass "No Sub" but it does have a good punch "Mid Bass"
-Next to no distortion at higher volumes.
Creative Pebble Plus 2.1 V3 $20-$40
+ Decently balanced sound across Highs and Mids, one of the best sounding you can find for under $40.
+Bluetooth 5.0 support
- Lack Bass rumble, the drop off is 100hz.
-Sound quality deteriorates at higher volumes, best if used with a source volume of 75% and no more than 60% speaker output.
-USB powered, good for small rooms and low to mid-volume.
Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX $113 $89 at many Wal Marts "Older Version"
+Great for immersion with good bass
+Loud and powerful room-filling
+Balanced and Neutral sound at lower to moderate volumes
+THX Certified "Not easy and not free for the manufacturers"
-Bass can get messy at high volumes
-Tendency to overheat if pushed hard, do this too many times and you will fry the amp.
M-Audio AV32 $89
+ Sound quality is near what the PB42x does with a bit deeper Bass
+Better Soundstage and imaging than what you can find on "Gaming setups" under $150
Micca PB42x V2 $119
+Best overall audio quality at this price range
-Doesn't get really loud unless you use an external amp
-More Low bass extension than what is listed below.

Microlab Chairman B77BT $70
+Better mids and Highs over the R1280T
+Bluetooth connection possible
+Bass is a little more subdued
+Huge sound stage for the size.
Edifier R1280T V2$99
+Neutral tuning
+Enough power to fill a decent-sized room
-Lacks deep bass but still packs a room-filling sound.
+/- Neutral tuning can take away the immersion for bass-heavy gaming, movies, and some genre of music
Here is a comparision between the two.
I'll add more as time permits
