Speaker volume control

I have yamaha yst-m15 computer speakers. master volume in back set at minimum.volume and tone controls in front don't work. speakers are "stuck" at loud level. How can I repair them?

If you don't have tools then it's not worth it.

$25 to replace the speaker

or

$7 - soldering iron
$2 - lead
$3 - variable resistor (Volume Control)
$10 - VOM if needed
