Question Speakers are extremely quiet at 100% volume.

I have to old home theatre speakers which I converted to have RCA ports. I then bought a converter that converts both RCA ports into one single 3.5mm jack and connected it to my pc through the green jack on the motherboard. I played a song but at 100% volume the speakers are extremely quiet. I also tried connecting through the headphone port at the front of my pc but still quiet.

Computer audio isn't amplified all that much and depends how powerful these speakers are youd need an amplifier of sorts like pc speakers.

Are they amplified? Home theatre sppeakers are usually hooked up to an amp, and there's no way a regular 3.5mm output is gonna give enough juice to drive them.

PC puts out very little power, u need an external amp or buy self-powered speakers. U knew this wasn't going to be this easy
