I recently purchased a nforce2 mainboard with the soundstorm chipset and would like to know the best speakers to match my sound chip. Price is not an issue. I play games, watch dvds and playback mp3's, but no sound editing. Thanks in advance.

The Logitech Z-680's and Z-560's are both really nice. Creative has a 5.1 system as well, as do Klipsh and Altec Lansing. Listen to them and see which one you like best. THG did a review you can use as a starting point. http://www.tomshardware.com/video/20030108/index.html Good luck.

If price is not an issue, then the best would be a nice set of ht speakers run through a dolby digital receiver.

To enjoy the best sound quality from SoundStorm you'll have to use digital speaker or even better, a dolby digital receiver/home theater speaker combo.

You never know how stupid you are until you have done something stupid enough for you to realize it.
