Speakers not working after windows 10 update

Hey guys,

I reversed some updates from windows a while ago. I had the problem that my speakers won't blast any sound through my room. Now windows forced an update on me again, seems the same one to me. I don't want to go back but it's pretty annoying that my speakers won't work on the specific port in this update.

Previously I've had it setup like this:
Aux cable from my motherboard in the cs out port that would connect into my receiver.

I don't hear any sound but when I play a sound I can see like every bar moving and dancing in the sound mixer for example. It works when I plug it in the headset port on the front of my pc. It also works when I set my screen as default sound and plug it in my screen as a headset. On every other device my speakers work so I'm pretty sure those work fine.

I've tried some things I saw online. Not muted or anything, Un/reinstalled drivers. Pretty much lost now. Only thing that looks weird is that when I'm in the realtek HD audio manager and play a sound test. 1 speakers works twice, when it light up and when the sub light up on screen. the other speakers don't sound when they light up.

I have a 5.1 system with all the speakers connected to the sub, the sub connected to my receiver and that connected to my pc. Currently have a msi x370 gaming plus motherboard in case that's helpful.

If you have any tips, advice or questions that would help you think of a solution, please let me know.

Solution
1 - Try deleting the audio driver in Device Manager -- Restarting -- and install Driver Booster to update all your drivers. Driver Booster is better than Windows or the manufacturers website 90% of the time.

2 - Make sure your BIOS is up to date by checking the MSI website

3 - Go to your playback devices and make sure your speakers are an option when they are plugged in

4 - Reset BIOS preferences - Hold SHIFT and Restart --> Go to Troubleshoot --> Advanced Options --> UEFI Firmware Settings --> Restart

5 - Disable automatic updates in Windows 10 https://www.windowscentral.com/how-stop-updates-installing-automatically-windows-10
