speakers not working

I unplugged all the wires from the back of my computer to clean it and when I plugged everything back in the speakers are not working. Is there a specific spot that they need to be in or can they be in any usb port?

You are using USB speakers?

Make sure they are getting recognized in the sound device manager, it may have decided to output to the standard audio port on the back of the PC and may not be treating the USB speakers as the default playback device.
