I have some expensive (to me) speakers - AudioEngine 5 - active speaker system.
They're pretty old now, had them for about 11 years or so I think but still sound really great, apart from this new noise.
They're in a cool room but I've noticed when I turn them on, for the first 10/15 mins, there's a lot of popping and "whirring" like you get from a record player. If I turn the music off on the PC, the noise is still happening.
After this time, they're fine and sound great. I wonder if it's just something inside that needs warming up a little?
