speakers work subwoofer no work

I am running surround sound through the subwoofer, the speaker just fine but not a squeak out of the subwoofer. I tried wiring it direct to the amplifer and that did not work either.

if you expect help you need to better describe your connections including model numbers and brands. no clue what you're doing based on what you said.
