Hello there,

I have a fairly Mid-ranged pc right now, managing to play most games on medium settings. I am looking for an upgrade and wanted to know if these would be a good/suitable upgrade choice.

I'm looking to get a FX-9590 CPU and a Sapphire r9 270x 4gb (Maybe get another GPU Sometime soon in the future if its needed) I just wanted to know if these upgrades will allow me to play new games such as: Watchdogs, BF4, Crysis 3, Dayz E.t.c on maxed out settings.

Thanks for your time

A 8320 overclocks within 0.1GHz of a 8350. So grab a 8320 and invest in a decent cooler. However, the 8350 does come with a heatsink/fan. This is fine, but not sufficient for overclocking.

Just totally forget the 9590. It was a big dud. Look on this website and you'll see that even people with high end systems, if they choose a AMD CPU, do not use the 9590 rather they use a 8350.

If you want to game on 1 1080p screen then a single 3GB...
Upgrade from what?

I would never recommend a power hungry, extremely hot running, 9590. Get a 8320 or 8350.

If you get a 83xx and a 270x you'll game at High and some Ultra @ 1080p on most games. But don't get a 4GB version, unless you will get a second 270x and game across 3 monitors. 2GB VRAM is plenty.

ok because i have multiple screens and i might get another 270x. What would be better? (1x 280/280x or 2x 270x)

and also, if i get the fx-8350 would i need to get liquid cooling or does the cpu box thing come with a liquid cooling set? because i saw a 9590 that comes with a liquid cooling set

If you want to game on 1 1080p screen then a single 3GB 280x is plenty, even if you use another screen for something else. 2 GPU solutions are best for 3 screen gaming, otherwise stick to 1 GPU.

Ok, thank you for your help, i have decided i am going to get the AMD 8350 and the sapphire toxic r9 280x, then i will make the decision later on if i should get another 280x and run them in crossfire, but just one should do for now. just cause the sapphire toxic seems to preform better than any of the other 280's and it looks badass. Will this setup cause any bottlenecking?

No, Not unless you underclock the CPU to 2 Ghz.
