I’m looking to buy a gaming PC for my little brother. It will mostly be used for Fortnite which I understand to not be exceptionally demanding. I’d like him to be able to play on high or ultra settings. He’ll likely want to play other games in the future as well.

I don’t know much about this, so I’m hoping for some help and opinions on these specs:

Graphics card: evga 960gtx ssc 4gb;
Ram: 2x HyperX 8gb (16 total);
Mobo: Asus m5497 R, 2,0;
CPU: AMD FX-8320;
PSU: XFX T5 650 Gold;
Hard Drives: 1TB HDD and Samsung SSD 256 gb.

Thoughts on that one?

Thanks,
Bob

Forget about the fx 8320 pc for your brother. You can check the linker for the system builds from $500-$5000.

Or you can post what budget you have, and where you like to buy the parts, our member will help you pick the parts.

Yea, stay away from the FX series of AMD CPU's, they're pretty terrible. You should be able to get a decent 3000 series AMD CPU that would crush the FX processor you were looking at.

And yes, posting a budget would help us be able to help you with some budget system ideas.
