I'm using speccy to monitor my temps ( I also use hdtune), when I open it and it reads the summary, on the motherboard, it states the model which in my case is a Asustek COMPUTER INC. B150M-A (LG1151). Then the temps, but once or twice I've noticed in the same area, slightly below the motherboard model it says 1% Chipset.

I'd like to know more about this, if anyone knows what it means or why it doesn't always show up when I open speccy.

I use speedfan for temps as it generally sees more sensors on the board than speccy does, it can show temps for all your CPU cores and also show fan speeds. It also lets you control fan speeds (who would have guessed) but I generally let my PC do that. Its just easier.

If you download it you will have to set it up to match motherboard as by default it shows all sensors and from beginning it will have false values on some sensors. For example, one sensor in my PC shows as -129c whereas another is +127C and I know I would notice if either of those were true. It also lets you relabel the sensors so they make sense on the main page

I don't know what that 1% means, speccy isn't the most accurate software at best of times.

I tried speedfan, it's temperatures were different from speccy and hdtune which both had the same readings which I have always relied on in the past so i didn't see the need to keep it.

As for the 1% thing, it hasn't shown up in my last three tries. I hope it's not an error message of some type.
