My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C55D-B5212:

It says on the website "ram is non-user upgradeable", but that's probably just because they didn't put in an easy access cover to save money and make it more aesthetically appealing. I safely took my laptop apart, and there were 2 slots for ram, and only one was occupied. I saw on threads many other people successfully installing more ram, without a problem. I use After Effects and Photoshop, and I do a lot of screen recording, so my ram is constantly almost maxed out, so an extra 4gb would really help me.

The ram in there now:

The ram I wish to purchase (seller takes returns, so if it doesn't work, I just have to pay like $5 to ship it back)

I'm pretty sure these would be compatible, right? I need help soon, like really soon.

Yeah, but that's a really unreliable way to increase ram, and I'd rather not do that.

I did try it, and it would work in a pinch. But with a write/read time of almost 1 millisecond, a flash drive is not very good for real-time ram previewing in After Effects and such programs.
