Specifying a new Dell Workstation

I want to specify a configuration for a new Dell Precision 5820 That will allow me to add a NVME M2 drive as my boot drive at a later date. I would like to have the machine ship from Dell with a standard 7200 HDD as the boot device, but be able to has the M2 later. What is the best way to specify this?

I have a few reasons for not wanting to buy the PC with the M.2 drive installed by Dell at the factory such as pricing and the fact that I really don't know what brand drive they install.



I am a bit confused on some of the various options from Dell, and I don't know if I need to order the flexbay adapter kit or one of the Dell Ultra-Speed cards.

I am buying at least 3 of these machines, so I really want to get it right the first time...

Go to Dell website / phone, and chat with sales person. They will be able to explain the options, and which ones you need / are compatible.
